Adjacent to the sea and sand of Port Sorell, whether it’s sport, leisure, music, drama, a fundraiser, event or meeting, this venue has it all.

STADIUM
A full-sized indoor basketball stadium and well-appointed change-rooms.
rubicon room
A versatile room is well-suited to drama workshops, dance classes, small sports, movie screenings and other creative group activities or events.
MEETING
Two carpeted meeting rooms with retractable partition wall can seat 50 participants (100 combined).
KITCHEN
A modern kitchen kiosk is available for public hire within the complex.
PLAY
A brand-new playground is available for you to use at any time, for your family recreational time. We also offer two tennis courts, a pump track and a basketball court.
PARK
The Banksia Centre offers free, off-street parking.
STADIUM
The full-sized indoor stadium has retractable basketball hoops and can be set up for volleyball, netball, badminton or pickleball.
The Stadium is a great light-filled space, with easy access to well-appointed male and female change-rooms, including an accessible bathroom.

Rubicon Room
This versatile room is equally suited to creative or sporting activities, with capacity to hold large scale events. Hire the space for your drama workshops, music practice, dance classes and performances. Train indoors with your team, or sporting group. Host a celebration or event with plenty of kid-friendly space, and doors opening out to the Banksia playground. Create the perfect movie night hiring the huge 8x5m projector screen.
The Rubicon Room includes two pickleball courts lined on sports grade vinyl, with free throw lines marked and two retractable basketball hoops for shooting practice.
The room can be utilised as a function space or conference room if desired, with AV equipment, Wi-Fi connectivity, chairs and tables and a portable stage – all available on request.

TWO MEETING ROOMS
Two carpeted meeting rooms with a retractable partition wall can seat 40 participants each (80 combined).
Meeting Room A features a kitchenette and there are whiteboards, smart TV’s, and Blu-ray DVD players available for use in each room separately. Each room contains 6 tables and 50 chairs.
Both rooms are Wi-Fi enabled and look out onto the natural landscaping of Banksia.

KITCHEN / KIOSK
A modern kitchen and kiosk is available for public hire within the facility and comes equipped with a full sized refrigerator, oven and microwave.
Convenient zip hot water units are fitted for tea and coffee serving, as well as two sinks and plenty of bench space.

PLAYGROUND
A brand-new playground is available for you to use at any time, for your family recreational time. Within the playground, you will find a BBQ shelter and public toilets.
Off-street parking is available at the Banksia Centre entrance.
No need to book.

TENNIS COURTS
Two tennis courts are available for your FREE use.
Bookings are not necessary, however it is recommended to reserve for your hire of the facilities.
Off-street parking is available right outside the courts.

BASKETBALL COURT
A half basketball court, and full court is available for your FREE use.
Please note that if the Camp Banksia property is hired, the courts may already be in use.
Off-street parking is available via Camp Banksia.

PUMP TRACK
Our bike pump track is available for your FREE hire and use.
